20 Of The World’s Most Secluded (And Beautiful) Beaches
14. Bai Dai Beach, Vietnam
The Bai Dai Beach, which means the long beach, is on the island of Phu Quoc and faces the Gulf of Thailand.
The white sand beach itself is just under 4 miles long and stretches out about as far as you can see in a bay that is shaped like an arc.
The water is rather shallow and often calm, which makes it a good place to take your children and let them enjoy the water, too. In 2008, this beach was called the “cleanest and most beautiful beach” by an Australian TV station (ABC).
At present, the beach is largely isolated with the exception of about 30 houses where vendors on the beach live. They supply the needs of visitors in the form of small stores and restaurants in tents – which open and close when the first visitors arrive and the last ones leave.
Some of these tents also will let you rent surfboards, stand-up paddle boards, and even jet skis, rafts and kayaks, but you will need to bring your own towel and sunscreen. When you get tired, you can also get a nap on a hammock. The area is expected to become very developed for tourism after 2018, but for now, it is a beautiful and largely isolated place for you and the family to enjoy the sun and water.
