20 Of The World’s Most Secluded (And Beautiful) Beaches

4. Smuggler’s Cove, Greece

Otherwise referred to as Navagio Beach, Smuggler’s Cove is a huge tourist destination, and a place you need to see.
After all, the beach is home to a stunning cliff-top view of the Mediterranean, and there is an impressive shipwreck on the beach that is from nearly three decades ago.
The traditional beauty of the Greek seashore is also apparent at Smuggler’s Cove, with visitors marveling at the beautiful white sand, the amazing blue water and the impressive limestone cliffs.
Those cliffs attract quite a few BASE jumpers, who use parachutes to break their falls as they hurtle themselves from the lookout point into the waves below.
The reason for the sense of seclusion attributed to Smuggler’s Cove is its inaccessibility. To get there, visitors must hire boat tours. These guided trips typically depart from the harbor of Zakynthos and, when all is said and done, it can cost visitors a pretty penny.
But many would argue that the expense is more than worthwhile, as a boat tour can allow tourists to escape the usual crazy beaches of Greece in favor of a destination that is simultaneously wild, intimate, and very isolated.
You will want to take a hat or umbrella, and some sunscreen, because in the middle of the day there is no shade and the sun can be quite hot. If you want to enjoy fewer people on the tour, the best time to go would be in either May or November.
