20 Of The World’s Most Secluded (And Beautiful) Beaches

17. Pink Beach, Bonairepink-beach-bonaire-depositphotosThe sandy beach of Bonaire, called Pink Beach, is an often isolated beach that is pink in appearance when it is wet.
The beach suffered considerable damage in 1999, when a large storm eroded much of the sand away.
The sand has largely been replaced by coral, but the beach is slowly being restored naturally.
If you want an excellent place to go diving or snorkeling, however, this beach is certainly a good choice. You will need to bring your own equipment, though, because there is no place to get them.
As you go into the water, you walk on sand. When you go out about 50 yards, you will come to a drop off. This starts out about 35 feet down and then goes down to about 90 feet. There are plenty of fish around the reef, and the water is crystal clear. This provides you with an excellent opportunity to get some great pictures.
The rest of the family can enjoy a picnic on the shore, but there are no facilities, so you will need to bring your own food, water and sunscreen. There are crowds on the weekends, but during the week it is rather isolated. Pink Beach is also a good place to go kitesurfing or windsurfing, but you need to be intermediate or expert level because there is no rescue service. Water shoes will be needed on the beach.
