20 Of The World’s Most Secluded (And Beautiful) Beaches

8. Carro Quebrado, Brazil
814Brazil is known for its more than 8,000 miles of beaches along the shore.
Along that vast shoreline, on the Coast of Alagoas, you’ll find that the desert beach of Carro Quebrado is nearly impossible to find without the help of a local guide.
Fortunately, knowledgeable guides are easy to find when you stay in Maceio, a tourist Mecca known for its proximity to several of Brazil’s most notable beaches.
Although many of the beaches near Maceio are consistently packed with sunbathing tourists, Carro Quebrado remains undiscovered by most visitors. The reason for this is simple enough when you translate the beach’s name. Carro Quebrado means broken down car – and that’s exactly what you’ll experience if you attempt to access this destination in a conventional manner.
Those fortunate to stumble upon Carro Quebrado’s shores, which is actually about 25 miles north of Carro Quebrado, will encounter white sands, emerald waters and a vast array of colorful stones. From the shores of the beach, you can see spectacular red cliffs along the beach, which a few daring visitors attempt to explore by foot.
Most prefer to remain in the sand, however, perhaps thanks to the presence of a tiny palm-thatched bar, where you can order everything from fresh shrimp to a delightfully cold beer.
